Please help with the differences with the daylight savings time changes. It is my understanding that people (ludzie) in Poland (Polska) already changed their clocks (zegar) and we do it this week (tydzień). We say we "fall back this week (tydzień)" so would it be correct to say "spadek plecy" in autumn (jesień)?

Hello Ania,

Thank you but this seems to be a bit strange translation. We can translate spadek as a fall or an inheritance. plecy is back (part of the body) so these words together do not make much sense.

I do not thing that there is a special name for the week when we change time. We would say W tym tygodniu zmieniamy czas This week we change time (from summer time to winter or vice versa) or W tym tygodniu przestawiamy zegarki This week we change clocks.

Jak już wspominaliśmy powyżej, zmiana czasu na zimowy 2020 nastąpi w nocy z 24 na 25 października. O godzinie 3:00 przesuniemy wskazówki zegara o godzinę do tyłu, czyli na 2:00. Oznacza to, że będziemy spali o godzinę dłużej.
