Learnin about the Polish culture as a way to help with learning the language

I feel the need to connect to the outstanding polish European heritage as in my very first klasa Polskie we tried to speak in Polish as a way to connect to prominent figures, whose native land was Polska, such as Adam Mickiewicz, Jan Matejko and Frederic Chopin. What resources or information can you share about such topics proszę?

I think it is good idea to learn about the culture and this is one of the main reasons we learn languages to start with.
