Some of the letters in Polish language come with an accent. I can type some of them with my keyboard but not all of them. How can I write all letters with accent?

Hi Sandra, thanks for your question. Writing with Polish accent is quite easy, you need to follow 2 steps.

Basically, you need to install Polish keyboard on your device and then use a correct key combination to type specific character (or accent as you call it).

If you are on Windows, go to Region & language settings (you can click Windows logo on the left low corner and just start typing). Once you are there, click Add a language and type Polish. Install the language and change it (you should see a keyboard in the right low corner of the screen).

If you are on Mac, go to System preferences > Keyboard > Input sources. Then press + and add Polish keyboard. Make sure it is selected (I keep the shortuc in the menu bar).

If you are on any other devices, like tablets or mobile phones, press the character to see character variation. If Polish accent letters are missing, you also need to install Polish keyboard.

Second step to write Polish accent letter is to use key combination.

Once Polish keyboard is selected, you press right Alt and press character a, e, c, s, l, n, z and o in order to get ą, ę, ć, ś, ł, ń, ż and ó.

There is one letter missing, it is ź. You can type it by pressing right Alt again and x.

I hope this information will help you to write Polish accent characters. Please let me know if something is not clear.
