Sleepless night

Kiedy nie mogę spać, wychodzę na zewnątrz i obserwuję gwiazdy.

When I can't sleep, I go outside and watch the stars.

Dzisiaj też nie mogę spać więc jak zawsze, siedzę na werandzie i patrzę w niebo.

Today, too, I can't sleep so as always, I'm sitting on the porch and looking at the sky.

Piję ciepłą herbatę, myślę o swoich sprawach, gdy nagle słyszę jakiś dźwięk. Jakby ciche warczenie zwierzęcia.

I drink warm tea, think about my affairs when suddenly I hear a sound. As if an animal was quietly growling.

“Kto tam?” pytam zaniepokojony. Brak odpowiedzi. Cisza. Po chwili znowu ten sam dźwięk. Dochodzi z pobliskich krzaków.

"Who's there?" I ask anxiously. No answer. Silence. After a while the same sound again. It comes from nearby bushes.

“Hej, jest tam kto?” wołam ponownie. Tym razem jestem już trochę zdenerwowany.

"Hey, is anyone there?" I call again. This time I'm a little nervous.

Zazwyczaj, o tej porze przed domem jest zupełnie cicho. Jestem tylko jak, księżyc i gwiazdy. Ale tej nocy jest inaczej.

Usually, at this time it is quite quiet outside the house. It's just me, the moon and stars. But tonight is different.

Ponownie słyszę ten dziwny, niepokojący dźwięk. Podskakuję ze strachu i krzyczę z całej siły ‘Kto tutaj jest?’

Again, I hear this strange, disturbing sound. I jump with fear and scream with all my strength, "Who is here?"

Nagle, mój młodszy brat wyskakuje z krzaków, śmieje się i mówi “Nie bój się, to tylko ja.”

Suddenly, my little brother jumps out of the bushes, laughs and says, "Don't be afraid, it's just me."

Mój brat myśli, że to zabawne. Śmieję się nerwowo razem z nim, ale tak naprawdę jestem przerażony.

My brother thinks it's funny. I laugh nervously with him, but I'm really scared.

Teraz to już na pewno nie zasnę.

Now I certainly won't sleep.
