When do you combine prepositions with articles?

Ciao 😀. They always get combined but there are prepositions that never get combined with articles like Con and Per. Sometimes you might see Col which is a combination of Con and Il but you should avoid it when you want to write correctly. When you chat with friends and stuff like that, you can do it. This only applies with the masculine, there is no Colla, I mean Colla means glue, so something completely different..
