Ciao! Sure, they are pretty easy 😀

Lunedì Monday

Martedì Tuesday

Mercoledì Wednesday

Giovedì Thursday

Venerdì Friday

Sabato Saturday

Domenica Sunday

First thing that you have propably noticed is that they are quite different compared to the English ones. So, if you don't know a closer language like French and Spanish it's going to be more difficult.

Another important point to mention is that the "i" at the end of most of them is not a simple "i"! It's a "ì". This is not only important for writing them correctly but that also affects the pronunciation making the intonation a little higher and stronger at the end.

Now, how do you use them?

Possiamo farlo mercoledì? Can we do it on Wednesday?

Ogni sabato è gratis Every Saturday it's free

Sono libero Lunedì I'm free on Monday

A mistake I often see my students do when trying to use them is that they add an article or a preposition before them! But in most cases you don't! You just write or say the day of the week and that's it. no "the" no "on" before it! Easy, isn't it?

It's true that sometimes you can hear people adding an article but that's for emphasizing and therefore it's not the common way to use them!

I hope I have cleared out a lot of doubts and see you next time! 😀
