Months are something fairly common to use in everyday life especially when living in a country and therefore even though I don't consider them as something too important, it's still something that needs to be learned eventually. Fortunately, months in Italian are quite similar to other european countries so let's dive into it!

Gennaio January

Febbraio February

Marzo March

Aprile April

Maggio May

Giugno June

Luglio July

Agosto August

Settembre September

Ottobre October

Novembre November

Dicembre December

Something I would like to mention is the order in which you are supposed to write a complete date and how you should pronounce them as well. We write dates in the following format:

DAY/MONTH/YEAR

And this is very important because writing it in the wrong order can cause a lot of misunderstandings.

Fortunately, the way you read it is quite easy if you know simple numbers because you don't need to use ordinal numbers like in English such as first, second, third etc.

Let's look at a simple example:

2/5/1985

We read it as "Due Maggio mille novecento ottantacinque" as if it was "Two May ...". Easy, isn't it?

I think I told you most of the things you need to know about months and I also explained how to easily say a date! I hope I helped you and see you soon! Ciao!
